How To Lower Soil pH In The Garden
You might find that you need to lower the soil pH in specific parts of your garden or landscape to grow certain plants. Most garden plants grow well in a slightly acidic pH range of 5.5 - 7.0.
The first thing you need to do is test the pH level of soil where you plan to plant. Once you have the pH reading, you can lower soil pH by adding the appropriate amount of aluminum sulfate or flowers of sulfur. There are tables available online to help you add the correct amount of sulfur or sulfate to lower your soil pH.
