Protecting Sunflower Seed Heads from Birds

Most birds just love sunflower seeds. And protecting your sunflower seed heads from birds, so you'll have some to eat, is a simple task. Just dig out an old pair of pantyhose and place over the sunflower seed heads when they are near ripening. You'll get your share of sunflower seeds and you can leave a few uncovered just for the birds.
